Chloe | Early Childhood Teacher | Canberra, Australia

About me

My name is Gia Hue To, and everyone calls me Chloe. I’m a Early Childhood Teacher with nearly five years of experience working with children aged 0–5 years. My journey in this field began as a casual educator with my Certificate III, and I have proudly progressed through hands-on roles while completing my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. I’m Vietnamese and have always been deeply passionate about how young children learn and grow.

This passion started when I was young, thanks to my mum. She never had the opportunity to attend school herself, however she strongly believed in the power of education and encouraged me to give children the very best start in life. Her trust in me has been my biggest motivation.

Before studying Early Childhood Education, I began a Bachelor of Languages (Mandarin) at university in Vietnam. When the chance to study in Australia arose, I paused that degree and moved to Canberra. I chose the University of Canberra and CIT because I knew they would give me the professional knowledge and skills I needed to make a real difference for children and families.

My Growth in ECE

My journey in early childhood education is a story of transformation: from an international student discovering Australia’s play-based, child-centred approach, to overcoming language barriers, embracing hands-on learning through placements, and growing into a confident room leader and lifelong learner.
